91.5 Tank TestThe 91.5 hull was tested this week at the historic Davidson Laboratory, the marine testing facility of Stevens Institute of Technology. Once again, the hull geometry delivered test results that were above our expectations. And if the 81.5 tank report and subsequent actual vessel performance are an indication, the 91.5 will exceed the tank test data. Boiled down, the 91.5 with the new MTU 2,400hp “Common Rail” will run at the same dynamic performance level as the 81.5 does with the MTU 16v2000hp engies. A further benefit of the Force IX hull form – MTU package will be even better fuel economy thanks in part to the “Common Rail” technology. Stevens Institute of Technology
